Privacy policy
Last updated 27 September 2026
ChatPower provides an AI-assisted WhatsApp customer support service to online stores (“clients”). This policy explains what data the service handles, why, and who else is involved. Questions: support@chatpower.me.
Our role
For conversations between a store and its customers, the store decides why and how that data is used, and ChatPower processes it on the store's behalf. If you are a customer of a store, the store's own privacy policy also applies, and requests about your data are best sent to the store; we will help them answer.
What we handle
- Staff accounts: name, work email, password (stored only as a hash), role, and activity in the console and phone app.
- Customer conversations: WhatsApp messages and the photos, files and voice notes in them, the customer's phone number and profile name, and notes the store's staff add.
- Store data: product catalogue, and order details looked up in the store's Shopify account when a customer asks about an order.
- Technical data: logs, error reports and device tokens for phone notifications.
Why we use it
Only to run the service for the store: answering its customers, handing conversations to its staff, sending notifications, keeping the service secure and fixing problems. We do not sell data, show advertising, or use one store's data to serve another store.
Who else processes it
ChatPower relies on these providers, each only for its part of the service:
- Zoko, which connects the store's WhatsApp Business account;
- Shopify, where the store's products and orders live;
- AI model providers (Google and OpenAI), which read messages and photos to draft replies and match products;
- Railway and Vercel, which host the service;
- Expo, which delivers notifications to the phone app.
How long we keep it
We keep data while the store uses ChatPower, or longer only where the law requires. A store can ask us to delete its data, and staff can ask us to delete their account, by writing to support@chatpower.me.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Each store's data is kept separate from every other store's at the database level, and staff see only the workspaces they belong to.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to how it is used. Write to support@chatpower.me, or to the store you dealt with.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Significant changes are announced to clients before they take effect.
